How to Use

Install a Codex Pet with two files.

Download the sprite and JSON files, keep them together, then add the JSON file in Codex settings.

From download to /pet.

  1. Step 1Download the sprite and JSON

    Choose a Codex Pet and use both download buttons on its page.

  2. Step 2Keep both files together

    Save the sprite and JSON files in the same folder.

  3. Step 3Add the pet in Codex

    Open Settings, then Appearance, then Pets, and select the JSON file.

  4. Step 4Use the pet command

    Type /pet in the Codex composer to wake, switch, or tuck away your active pet.

What you download

  1. The sprite file with the pet artwork.
  2. The JSON file Codex reads.
  3. A shareable pet page you can revisit later.

What to avoid

  1. Do not separate the sprite and JSON after downloading.
  2. Do not use an npm or npx command for this catalog.
  3. Do not rename either file unless you update the JSON path too.
